So even though some of you know me.... there's a few that don't so here's my story. Enjoy it!
I was born in Dominican Republic in 1983, we then moved to Puerto Rico and then Brazil. In 1994 we moved to New Jersey and it has been my home since then. I graduated from High School in 2002 and continued onto Rutgers University for one year. I took a break from school because my lovely daughter was born in 2003. In September of 2003 I began working as a 911 operator/ Police dispatcher. At this time I was working midnights, taking the baby to day care so I could go to school and sleeping only about 4 hours a day. It got to be too much so I found a job at a mortgage company, where I processed the applications. I met the love of my life while working there and we have been together for about 3 years. I worked at the mortgage company until August of 2008 when I was laid off because of the economy there was just not enough work. Since then I have been making things, teaching classes in Dominican Republic and I am finally starting to work on my etsy shop. I have met so many inspiring people in the past year that I am thankful taht I've had this exprience. Also, I've been able to be a part of lily's school life. I haven't missed one trip, one quiz, one t-ball game, or any play dates.

ReplyDeleteHi Laura, we met last Thursday at A C Moore. You have a great story. You should be very proud of yourself. You've come a long way. I saw your craft room, oh my goodness, I love it. I do have a question for you...what is esty?
